“Be Alone – EI” is the work of Chau Ming Beck after enhanced her original work “Be Alone – OL”. At dusk, the sky is dark blue, and the afterglow of the sunset still lingers on the earth. A small tree stands alone and peacefully on a small island, looking at its reflection across the water. But they can never really see each other. I thought of Cang yang Jia Cue s “Ten Commandments Poem”, the first line of which is: “It is best not to meet, so that you cannot fall in love.” Did this tree also have such a thought? If there is no perfect result, it is better not to have a beautiful beginning. But isn’t that too regrettable? This is a thought-provoking painting, it makes me think of the meaning of life, love and loneliness.
